NFACT to help put on Fine Arts Festival – Suggestions Welcome!

The Norwood Public Schools Fine Arts Festival held every spring is a long-standing tradition – in fact 2017 will see the 20th Fine Arts Festival, displaying the talents of Norwood students of all grade levels in Visual Arts, Music, Drama and Television. Last year saw a turning point as the closure of the Apollo Function Room led to a change of venue. The new site, the gymnasium of the Savage Educational Center, met with mixed reviews. What suggestions do you have for ways to improve the Festival? Acoustics, ambiance, traffic flow, and other issues could be addressed in time for this year’s event, and even perhaps a different venue for the 20th event in 2017. Come discuss at our meeting tonight, Tuesday October 20, at 7pm in the Norwood High School library, or post comments on nfact.org or our Facebook page!

Take Your Seat

We offer a unique opportunity to support the fine arts in our schools.

plaqueBy dedicating a seat in the Paul M. Alberta Center for the Performing Arts, you can help assure the continuation of extra-curricular programs in music, drama, television, and the visual arts, while leaving a lasting reminder of your special connection to this place and these programs in the Norwood Public Schools. To the armrest of each seat will be affixed a plaque engraved with up to three lines of text: individual names, a family name, the name of a business or organization, or a dedication “In honor of” or “In memory of” the person you choose. The requested donation is $100 for an individual or family, or $250 for a business or organization.

Go ahead: take your seat.
